SHDP, Day 8, Nov 4th

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="640"]Hate me all you want, but I love the visual intentions of the Mercury Sable. Hate me all you want, but I love the visual intentions of the Mercury Sable.[/caption] Although execution of the idea was brutal. Often the accountants have a huge affect on the final look of a car, the intended look of the Sable was desirable. I'm hoping to focus these posts a bit more on appreciation and observation of style. I hate to start off with a favorite, but wrap around lights, and glass are a...

SHDP, Day 5, Nov 1st

Riding the high of last posts South American trend we begin our Journey on an odd ball. The Dardo F1.5. [caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="691"]Looks like a Porsche Fiat? You got it, an X1/9 Fiat, with an 928 headlight setup. Brazil, you're my hero. Looks like a Porsche Fiat? You got it, an X1/9 Fiat, with an 928 headlight setup. SHDP Day 2. Oct 27th

So today's journey into the abstract began with a memory of a vehicle in passing. The Ford Everest. A version of Mazda's B-series pickup. Sold to the middle eastern and Asian markets. The Mazda Proceed. It's neat to see SUV versions of pickups I'd never associated with such...

I wish I could study these things, and report to the world with my own mind and personality as the filter of my report. As a lowly work-a-day fella, this seems like an alternate universe of an alternate reality. Some call it maturity to tone down your imagination, accept life as it is, and live it out till the end in a quaint humbleness. This reality...

The wave of the Futura!

I like boxy 80's cars, and to be honest, my first slide, albeit terrible, was in a Foxbody mustang.  Most people don't know that the Boxfody....err, it's even got a boxxxy name, wasn't just a mustang. There's the Fairmont Futura, Zephyr, Capri, Thunderbird, Cougar, Granada, Continental, LTD, Marquis, Mark VII. There's one missing and we'll get to that.... Not until recently did I make the connection, sure I knew it was a foxbody, but for some reason I didn't even notice that the...
