Random thoughts and Cap D Pictures, together at last!

Too much wrenching, not enough driving. I've spent my last two months with nearly no seat time. Constantly wrenching on project with no reward. My wagon? A mysterious mess of engine troubles. It's strange, it just won't run right, perhaps it needs a bigger carb with the upped compression, however I have a feeling I'm just missing something very basic and fundamental. There's a new motor sitting and waiting to be dropped in, but alas no tools to lift it in. Robins car is done for now, some cool mud flaps, wheels and decals will come eventually. Big things are happening for Robin and I, we're picking up a traile.....err new home, very soon. Dorikaze'rs and others are welcome to crash whenever.

I apologize for the lack of interesting updates, the blog has suffered quite a bit once we moved out here. My inability to grow up has conflicted with the need for me to grow up. My brain is constantly focused on the automobile and all it's intricacies and obscurities, however, it takes some real focus and...well just time to allow my thought process to dive deeper into the history and rational behind these weird automotive abominations. This is something I haven't had in a while. Unlike back East I still don't have a sanctuary to get lost in, to lose my mind in albeit that will be soon, hopefully the post count, but more importantly the interesting-ness of the posts will increase soon.

My finger hurts from spray painting, my hands and arms are covered in small cuts and knicks many which have healed over, reopened and then become hard scar tissue. Way to much wrenching as of late. Jumping behind the wheel of an automatic corolla the other night, only heeded the warning that my skills are fading with my lack of practice. This affects the view I have of myself. Judging a drift competition is great, but when you can't hang with the competitors your judging who's to say your a good judge? Way to much wrenching.

I enjoyed my opportunity being part of a drift event, and look forward to getting further into organizing the event. There are definatly some changes I'd like to make and perhaps to be a bit more brave on the microphone!

Thanks to Acacia & James for these snaps of the Cpaital D season opener.
