The goal was to do something simple, but fun and unique. I've had a craving for a vintage styled VW for a while. Something about the late 80's Early 90's that was just so awesome and obscure.
From the pastel colors to the zigzag antenna I tried to mimic the style as best as I could. Slat grill, small diameter wheels and airbrushed back window were necessary touches.
First thing that came to mind was the old Skiing and Mountain bike posters "RADICAL". What would they drive?

Turned out fairly similar to my original photoshop concept.
Pretty cool. Really looks lik a surfer’s car.
However you need some Ronal Turbo’s :)
